About SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology

SSL means that the information you send from you computer to the server is being encrypted and decrypted to prevent hackers from stealing your information while data is being transmitted. To encrypt, the browser uses a public key to mix up the data you send, and to decrypt, the browser uses a private key to put that back in order.
